. The resort of Bansko sits at the foot of the Pirin Mountains, 160 kms from Sofia, Bulgaria’s capital city. In recent years, it has hosted World Cup skiing events, and is regularly voted Bulgaria’s best ski resort. A gondola ride to the main lift station opens to a vast array of runs that will suit all levels of skiers.

All our hotels are located within a short walk of the Gondola Station in the new part of the resort.

Nightlife is extensive. The old town offers charm with ‘olde world’ restaurants offering traditional Bulgarian menus. Choose the new part of the resort for a great choice of bars, restaurants and nightclubs – you will be spoilt for choice!

Day 1:
The time has come to begin your highly anticipated ski trip! Check in at Dublin Airport for your flight to Sofia. On arrival you will be met by a local representative and transferred by coach to your hotel for check in and the rest of the evening free at your leisure. 

Days 2 to 7:
On the first morning you collect any ski & snowboarding equipment or optional extras you have booked. From this point you are free to enjoy the resort at your own leisure. In the evening you are free to enjoy the hotel’s facilities and relax. 

Day 8:
Sadly today you must begin your journey home as your holiday comes to an end. It’s an early start as you join the coach that will take you to Sofia for your return flight to Dublin.

4* Hotel Lion offers fully-equipped, nicely decorated rooms, an elegant restaurant and bar as well as spa and wellness centre. The restaurant serves traditional Bulgarian and European cuisine. The night bar offers a range of entertainment and a fun atmosphere.

The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to the ski lift but there is also a free ski shuttle bus. The centre of Bansko town is around 15mins from the hotel.
