Sample itinerary for Sorrento and Amalfi coast

Sorrento is the most popular choice for travellers who are visiting this stretch of coast. The advantage of using Sorrento as your base during your holiday is its excellent connections with Capri, Positano, Amalfi, and Pompeii, in addition to its beautiful views.

Base in Sorrento

Day trips:

·         Train from Sorrento to Pompeii

·         Train from Sorrento to Naples  

Bus from Sorrento train station takes you to Positano and Amalfi, you can get ticket to Amalfi and do Positano on way back, it just circles back to Sorrento.

Allow good bit of time, lots of walking, lovely shops/cafes in both places.

Tip – from Sorrento try and sit on right side of bus, to get best of sea views and vice-versa on way back

You can also get day trip to Capri which is well worth a visit.
